TEAMMATE COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANT

TEAMMATE COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANTS

Open to Shopko teammates who volunteer their time for non-profit organizations. Recipients are awarded $1,000 grants (50 teammates received grants in 2010).

UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

In 2010, Shopko teammates pledged nearly $400,000 to the United Way
organizations in their communities.  A corporate gift of $100,000 is also presented.

Partners in Education is a Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce program that recognizes outstanding teachers in the Green Bay area with a Golden Apple Award.

This annual program is run by Green Bay’s Service League. The Back to School Store provides school children with school supplies and clothing.

EINSTEIN PROJECT

A non-profit organization that partners with schools to provide support for science education in Wisconsin.

ASHWAUBENON EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Education foundation in support of innovative and creative experiences that are beyond what the school district can fund though existing funds.

FESTIVAL FOODS TURKEY TROT

A Thanksgiving Day 5-mile run and 2-mile walk to participants of all ages and abilities, promoting health and wellness and family fun.  Proceeds benefit local charitable organizations.

GREEN BAY YMCA HEALTHY KIDS DAY

This event brings focus to youth development and healthy living for all by incorporating fun and active play into their lifestyle. Screenings, education, information, entertainment and give-aways round out a full day of activities. 

HEALTHNET OF JANESVILLE

A non-profit, volunteer-based free health and dental clinic, providing quality medical care to the uninsured and low-income residents of Rock County.

LONG TERM COMMITMENTS

BELLIN COLLEGE SHOPKO CAMPUS

Shopko Foundation has committed to $200,000 per year over five years to help promote health education in the Green Bay community.

CONCORDIA COLLEGE SCHOOL OF PHARMACY

100,000 grant per year over 10 years to provide a new School of Pharmacy promoting pharmacy education in Mequon, WI.

THE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN

Improves how all parents access and receive help, beginning at their babies’ births.
